About this artwork
This compact pop-art sculpture presents a textured blue eye image inside an industrial steel cube. The combination of a direct gaze, transparent acrylic and an exposed welded frame creates a small theatrical composition for a modern office, loft, apartment or studio.
The cube is hand-welded from 6 mm steel bars and polished to an antique-silver sheen. A transparent original print is protected by plexiglass. When the object is positioned near natural or artificial light, its frame and image can cast focused shadows onto the surrounding surface. The sculpture may be mounted on a wall or displayed freestanding on a desk, mantel or shelf.
Each handmade example may show minor individual variation. The sculpture is intended as an indoor art object and may suit fashion enthusiasts, architects, pop-art collectors, anniversaries or housewarmings.
