About this artwork
This two-piece wall-art set pairs eye and lip imagery derived from a painting by Early Netherlandish artist Petrus Christus. Each elaborated print is presented in acrylic glass inside a compact welded-metal cube, creating a colorful figurative diptych for a living room, office, desk or shelf.
Each sculpture measures approximately 10 cm × 10 cm × 10 cm and weighs approximately 250 g. The frames are welded from 6 mm steel bar, polished by hand to an antique-silver sheen and protected with varnish. Natural or artificial light can project focused shadows from the transparent images and open structures onto nearby surfaces.
Appropriate hooks and wall plugs are supplied. The cubes may be hung together with the pictured spacing, arranged with different spacing, or displayed independently as bookshelf and desktop ornaments.
